So Much To Say House Tour Guest Post

Please welcome back my friend Colleen from So Much To Say. She is here to give us a tour of her lovely home that I'm sure that you will all enjoy! Please visit her blog she has great posts on crafts, decorating, party-planning, photography, and organization.

Hi South Shore Mommy readers!!!

A little about me . . . . . I'm a mom of two and wife to my husband of almost ten years. I spend my days working full-time as a lawyer which I love. When I am not at work, you can find me with my two beautiful kids beside me. I always have some project in the works in my house whether it's something big like my son's big boy room found here or a gallery wall. I love photography, party-planning, coffee, lists, organizing, wine and decorating. I also love trying different crafts with my little ones. I love to read blogs although admittedly they fill my head with ideas and crafts that I obsessively keep track of on Pinterest. I blog about many things like our life experiences, our home, projects, recipes, crafts, and sometimes just our ordinary days at home.

I'm here today to share my home tour. I am a huge fan of home tours in blogs and often find alot of inspiration. Here we go . . . . we bought our home in 2007. I fell in love with this house the first time I saw it. My husband needed a little more convincing than just my undying love!! It took some time but it was finally ours after a couple of months. There are so many things I love about our home so come on in . . .

In our house we have a formal dining room and living room. We love to host and entertain at the holidays so we do use these rooms on those occasions. oh, new chandelier is up just don't have new picture. oops!

This is our family room where we spend most of our time. This was one of the things that really appealed to me about our home. I loved that I could be in the kitchen and watch my little ones play in the very next room.

Heading upstairs to the second level . . . .

Our master bedroom is in line for some changes this week. We had some water damage from an ice dam so this room will be updated with new paint and new carpet and I have new bedding too. (there's an adorable nook to the left of this area - our room is actually quite big - I just did not take a picture as there is quite the mess going on right now!!) I am planning to get a chaise and a little table and think it will be a really nice relaxing area in our room.

Our little guy's room is next. I had so much fun decorating this room. Bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids and it's pretty complete but for blinds and some odds and ends.

My sweet girl's room . . . . ahh I love it in here. The colors were carried from her nursery colors which were largely pink and sage. I used much of the same decor when she got the "big girl" look. It's the perfect little princess room.

Heading down into the basement is the next part of our tour. We finished this area about three years ago and the kids love it! There's a playroom on the first side and a family room/bar on the other side.

Can you tell I love baskets? I definitely love organized spaces (although this space typically is not so organized!!). See my "real house tour here"

Oh, just so you know the playroom NEVER LOOKS LIKE the above. In fact, I took a shot as I headed into my office recently. Here it is in its current state:
